In Summer 2025 we began the exciting process of converting our 100-acre farm here in Aberdeenshire to organic management. We are proud to share that we have completed our first inspection with the Soil Association and have officially passed - an encouraging milestone on our journey.
We are following the standard conversion process, with the land now in its organic conversion period and our livestock due to begin conversion in 2027. This marks a big commitment for us - to farming in harmony with nature, improving soil health, and producing food in a way that supports biodiversity and sustainability for the long term.
Alongside our organic conversion, we are also taking part in a range of agri-environmental schemes designed to enhance local wildlife habitats and protect natural resources. These include fencing off water margins to protect waterways, planting trees and hedges to boost biodiversity, and managing wader-friendly grassland to support breeding wader birds.
Together these steps reflect our ongoing commitment to responsible land stewardship and a more sustainable future for our farm.
